Cutting Edge Locksmith are based in Maidstone, Kent. Cutting Edge Locksmith is a genuinely local and completely independent business run by me, Harry Shrubb (NOT AN AGENCY OR CALL CENTRE). I am a Locksmith in Maidstone but offer my services throughout Kent providing 24 hours, 7 days a week emergency locksmith call outs.
As well as emergency call outs I also provide a wide range of services including the supply and installation of all types of doors and window locks. I am even able to cut additional keys onboard my van for the locks I install.
Not only am I on call for when you need to gain entry to your property, I can also help in the situation of lost, broken or stolen keys and can quickly and efficiently replace locks on the spot thanks to my fully stocked van, this is essential to secure your property from any unwanted visitors.
My aim is to help eliminate the ease of access into your property using the latest in high security locks and smart security products at a realistic cost.
I have many years of experience within the security industry, after initially taking on an apprenticeship in security engineering which lead to working for a large security company as an engineer. I now enjoy running my own locksmith business as a sole trader. My background means I can also advise you on other means of protection for your home or business and can even arrange for trusted traders to carry out all aspects of security system installations.

Absolutely outstanding service from Harry at Cutting Edge Locksmith – he went well over his remit when asked to supply and fit new locks and keys for elderly relative. Same day service, all work highly competently completed including checking all keys fitted and working, replacing Aunt’s keys on her keyring, ensuring that old keys removed (so no confusion!!). Harry even contacted me months later to let me know that my Aunt had locked herself out and he’d been to the house and let her back in, ensuring she was okay before leaving. Does Cutting Edge Locksmith offer a 24 hour call out service?
Yes, we offer a 24 hour call out service and also provide emergency call outs with the aim of arriving to assist you within 60 minutes.
My door has become stiff and difficult to lock, is there anything I can do to help free it?
Spray on lubricants can sometimes help free up and prolong the life of your lock, we recommend contacting us before doing so as locks vary depending on model and manufacture.
On UPVC doors the stiffness may be caused by door alignment not lack of lubricant.
Will you damage my locks?
Cutting Edge use the latest non-destructive techniques when it comes to gaining entry to a property.
Wherever possible we will avoid causing damage to your locks.
Parts need replacing will you need to make a return visit?
Cutting Edge Locksmith carry a large van stock to accommodate common lock replacements and faults. Because of this, revisits are rare.
